Shawntel Marie Waajid has taught over 1,000 students and brings more than 40 years of experience to her courses. A braider since age 7, she became lead instructor and stylist for natural hair pioneer Taliah Waajid and has educated at top events like the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair Show, Bronner Bros, and Premiere Hair Shows.

She is the founder of Nappy Hutt LLC, The Nappy Hutt (Natural Hair Care Salon & Braid Center), Shawntel Marie Products, Kings Solution Men's Grooming Systems, and Jelani Beauty Supply Store in Savannah, GA. For the past eight years, she’s led hands-on seminars to empower beauty entrepreneurs. In 2025, she earned WBENC Certification, recognizing her nationally as a woman-owned business leader.
